Privacy Policy

Banger is a family of browser extensions that generate replies, comments, and posts on X (x.com), LinkedIn (linkedin.com), Reddit (reddit.com), Threads (threads.com), and Facebook (facebook.com) using an AI provider key you supply. Each extension runs only on its own platform's site. This policy covers all of them. They are built so that we never see your data: there are no Banger accounts, no Banger servers that process your content, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.

What the extension stores

All settings live in your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) and never leave your device except as described below:

• Your OpenRouter API key
• Your chosen model and settings
• Your voice profiles (tone instructions and themes)
• Your license key and its validation status
• A counter of free-trial uses

Uninstalling the extension deletes all of it. We have no copy.

What gets sent, and to whom

The extension talks to exactly two services, both at your direction:

• OpenRouter (openrouter.ai): when you generate replies or comments or rewrite a draft, the extension sends the text of the post or thread you are responding to (author name, handle, and post text), your draft or notes if you typed any, and your profile's voice instructions, authenticated with your own API key. This is the AI request itself; without it the product does nothing. OpenRouter processes it under its own privacy policy and the policy of the model provider you select.
• Polar (polar.sh): when you activate a license key, the extension validates that key against Polar, our payment and licensing provider. Only the license key itself is sent, never your content or your OpenRouter key.

That is the complete list. The extension makes no other network requests, and nothing is sent anywhere in the background while you browse.

What we collect

Nothing. We do not collect, sell, share, or have access to your browsing data, your posts, your generated content, your API key, or any personal information through the extension. Purchases are handled entirely by Polar, which shares with us only what is needed to issue your license.

The getbanger.app website

The extension itself never tracks you. This marketing website is separate and uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless, collects no personal data, and never follows you across sites. If you fill in the optional feedback form after uninstalling, we store only the reason you select and anything you choose to type, so we can improve the product. Don't include personal details there if you'd rather we not have them.

Changes

If the extension's data practices ever change, this page will be updated before the change ships, and material changes will be called out in the extension's changelog.
